  Maximum Rock’N’Roll – January 2004 –

   EPIDEMIC - LP

Where the fuck did these folks come from?? New band from back East tearing shit up on this their debut release. Studs and spikes galore with a rough as fuck UK82 soundtrack.  Less anthemic and more...well...punk than a lot of bands doing this these days. More in common with AUS ROTTEN and early DEFIANCE than the CASUALTIES.  This genre is really heating up over here and I wish I wasn't a balding old geezer so I could spike my mohawk again. Punk. No. 13 - September 2003 –

The Epidemic “s/t” LP (Welfare) – Where the fuck did these guys come from? They’re from Boston, but I’ve never heard of them… goes to show that I (if you can believe it) am NOT the end all be all of local punk music. This hit slab is 11 tracks of UK 82 style punk assault on society, the media, and all the other things that really pissed off punk bands sing about. There is nothing really groundbreaking here. It’s a typical punk rock record. Jay’s vocals remind me of Jorge, our favorite Casualty and the songs are fast and to the point. A solid release and a good punk record. (P)
